The first day in Jinja!

Had a good nights sleep and I went down to find that breakfast was included in the price, egg, cerials, fruit, bread etc! After breakfast I walk all the way to down town. I had many offers of bodabodas (motorcycles on the back) but I walked. Interesting City and I came to the more touristic areas as they were selling souvenirs. I stoped at the coffee shop "Source Café", that was run by a church. Very good coffee and a chokolate cake! Further down the road I found the Tourist INFO in the comunity building with a Rotary sign in the front. The woman in the Office had visited Sollefteå in Sweden and Estonia. She told me were I could book a bus ticket for Kisumu in Kenya, but it was far away so I have to do it tomorrow. I walked further, visited Jinja Yacht Club and had a Coke. Up to the road and I came to Jinja Golf Club. Playing incl caddie and Clubs should be 80.000 Ush= 20 USD, for 18 holes - good price. On my way back I stambled on the road and I was falling and unfortunatly scrubbed my leg! Back to town for a farmacy, but they recommended a clinic were they cleaned the wounds and gave me a "shot" (stelkramp). Back to the Hotel just to find that the light was out so I couldn't get to internet. I've tried to contact the Masons here so I wanted to see the answer. I walked out again, another road to the center and I passed the grave yard for the people that died during WWII. Before the center I stoped to look at a local soccer match - interesting. I had an afternoon coffee. There are few young European people and I only saw them around the Café. I walked back and the light was on and after a while I went down to the restaurant and had some chicken and rice and a Nile beer. Now its time to sleep. Tomorrow I'll rent a bike to get around!

Coffee and a chokolate cake (not to die for:-))
