Gorilla Day

The clock rang 05.00 - breakfast 5.30 and then away! First the dark, then the mist (the mist covered mountains of Gorillas) We drowe 2 hours + on roads that were very BUMPY! I was "shaken not stired" when I arrived! My stomack was not so good so I throwed up.

Arriving at the gorilla camp / Check in / Introductions and then away up starting at around 2000 m level! After about 1hour walking in the djungle the ranger said that they had tracked the gorillas /Exiting/  We were a Group of 8 people, 6 germans, a Swedish girl and I.

They used the machetes to get to the gorillas and it was hard walking and suddenly - there he was sitting, the blackback male - fascinating! Lots of pics!!! We were only 4-5 m from him!

After a while, we walked a bit further and there was the silverback with two Females and 2 baby gorillas - wonderful! There was two more gorillas up in the trees. They made some noice that was answered by the rangers! We spent one hour taking photos just enjoying to be close to the family ! They are big !!! And we were only 4-5 m from them!!! So human and stil so wild in there own habitat! 

It was a magic hour !!!!!

Then we had to walk back downhill and the views were stunning. The djungle, the hights, the small villiges deep down in the walley!

We went back 2 h + with the 4WD to the resort!! BUMPY !!! 

In the evening we had a tropical thunderstorm before dinner!

What a day!!!
