Source of Nile

This morning, after breakfast I walked to find the Hotel, where Rotary have their meetings, but no luck. I walked up to the center, had a coffe and then I rented a bicycle. I toke a ride to the place were the bus to Kisumu should go and were I could buy a ticket. I went all around the town, but no success. So,  I went to the river, the Source of the Nile. I had to pay an entrĂ©ns fee and I walked down. Souvenirshops all the way. There was a mark and a statue of Mahatma Ghandi, saying that a part of his ashes were spred in the river just here. He shared his ash between different large rivers in the world. I then went to the Point, that use to be a waterfall before they made the elektricity damm and that fall should mark the Source of the Nile. About 5 % of the water here reaches Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea.
I went into town, passed the Tourist INFO, complaining about the bus station, and got a new direction.
After a smoothie at the coffee house I returned the bike and walked. I stoped at a travel agent and got a New direction!!! I walked and finally I found the place and booked a ticket for Friday to Kisumu in Kenya. I walked back to the Hotel (its a Long walk) and sent a qeustion on mail about a place to sleep in Kisumu and now in the evening that's also OK! On the way back I found the Hotel for Rotary, so tomorrow evening I'll go.
I also made a change so I will go to Kisumu and stay there for X-mas and on the 26th I will fly to Nairobi and in the evening back home - a little bit earlier then planed but its too hard to travel this way in East Africa. Most people come, stay at a nice resort and do safari etc and then go home. So both travel options and cheap hostels are few and you don't meet so many other travellers! That's way I decided to shortened my trip.
I wasn't easy to make these arrangements either, but now its made and I'm ready!

The place for the Nile river.

Mahatma Ghandis statue.

The former Water fall, marking the Source of the Nile.

The bus ticket station. It took 45 min to buy a ticket!
